Mail Order Pharmacy Technician in Saint Petersburg, FL
A mail order pharmacy is seeking an experienced Pharmacy Technician III to join their team on a contract basis. This role focuses on efficiently processing prescription orders while ensuring accuracy, compliance, and excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities include interpreting sig codes, selecting correct products, and processing prescription refills. You will perform vital data entry tasks, verify insurance information, troubleshoot NDC changes, and resolve any rejections. Preparing, labeling, and packaging medications for pharmacist approval is a key duty, along with maintaining accurate inventory records, conducting cycle counts, and managing medication returns. Additionally, you will handle inbound and outbound patient calls as well as prescriber requests, all while adhering to strict compliance standards such as HIPAA, Medicare/Medicaid regulations, and CCS protocols. Reporting directly to the Operations Manager, Pharmacy, you will play an integral role in the mail order pharmacy operations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum of 4 years experience as a Pharmacy Technician
- Active VA license and PTCB certification are required
- Proven ability to communicate effectively and manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Strong time management skills and attention to detail
Schedule/Hours:
- Monday through Friday
- 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM
