This pharmacy technician role offers an opportunity to contribute to a dynamic mail order pharmacy operation on a 13-week contract basis in Clearwater, FL. The position is Monday through Friday from 9:00 am to 5:30 pm, with a start date ASAP or approximately 1.5 to 2 weeks after clearance. Key Responsibilities:

• Process and fill prescriptions efficiently while managing insurance adjudications and resolving claim rejections
• Prepare, package, and label medications accurately for pharmacist verification
• Perform detailed data entry and maintain prescription paperwork; liaison with patients and prescribers as needed
• Maintain inventory through daily cycle counts, restocking, and monitoring medication expiration dates
• Assist with returns, medication quarantines, and destruction in compliance with pharmacy standards
• Cross-train in various pharmacy functions and provide support to the department as necessary
• Ensure adherence to HIPAA, Medicare/Medicaid, and insurance regulations to maintain compliance

Qualifications:

• High School diploma or GED is required
• Current PTCB certification and Florida pharmacy technician license in good standing
• Minimum of 2 years pharmacy technician experience, with some background in call center operations preferred
• Demonstrated ability to multitask and manage time effectively in a busy environment
• Strong organizational skills paired with excellent communication abilities to interact with patients, providers, and teams
