Home Infusion Pharmacy Technician in San Antonio, TX
This opportunity is for Compounding Pharmacy Technicians supporting home infusion services. There are 3-4 contract positions available for a 13-week assignment in San Antonio, TX. These roles include one shift from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM and two to three shifts from 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM, providing essential support in medication compounding and pharmacy operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately compound, prepare, and process prescriptions according to company policies, procedures, and state regulations.
- Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications and supplies.
- Perform pharmaceutical calculations to verify correct dosages.
- Properly label and package compounded medications.
- Participate in medication incident identification, management, documentation, and reporting.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of pharmacy work areas and laminar flow hoods.
- Inspect pharmacy equipment for functionality and report any issues.
- Keep pharmacy temperature logs and cleaning records up to date.
- Assist with overall pharmacy organization and compliance efforts.
Desired Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- At least 1 year of pharmacy technician experience.
- Active Pharmacy Technician license in Texas.
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (PTCB) credential.
- IV Certification for sterile compounding.
