Retail Pharmacy Technician in San Mateo, CA

Seeking experienced Pharmacy Technicians for a registry role at a busy county hospital and Level I trauma center. This long-term, open-ended contract position offers flexible scheduling with an average of 24 hours per week, though some weeks may exceed 40 hours. Candidates should be available to work approximately 3-4 days per week to meet the fluctuating workload demands.

Location:

• San Mateo, CA

Schedule:

• Shifts start at 6:00 AM, 8:00 AM, 10:00 AM, 12:00 PM, 1:00 PM, or 3:00 PM
• 8.5-hour shifts with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break

Responsibilities:

• Support pharmacy operations in both inpatient and outpatient settings
• Prepare and dispense medications accurately and efficiently
• Assist with IV preparationshospital experience preferred
• Utilize EPIC and Omnicell technology to manage medication distribution
• Maintain compliance with hospital and regulatory standards
• Collaborate with pharmacy and medical staff in a high-volume, fast-paced environment

Desired Experience:

• Prior experience as a Pharmacy Technician in retail and hospital settings
• Exposure to IV medication preparation is highly preferred
• Familiarity with EPIC and Omnicell systems is a plus
• Ability to work independently and as part of a healthcare team
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
