Inpatient Pharmacy Technician in San Mateo, CA

This opportunity is for skilled Pharmacy Technicians to support inpatient pharmacy operations in a Level I trauma center hospital. The role focuses on accurate medication dispensing and pharmacy support in a busy hospital setting, requiring attention to detail and familiarity with hospital protocols.

Location:

• San Mateo, CA

Schedule:

• Approximately 3 to 4 days per week
• Shifts begin at 6 am, 8 am, 10 am, 12 pm, 1 pm, or 3 pm
• 8.5-hour shifts with a 30-minute unpaid lunch

Responsibilities:

• Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications for inpatient use
• Support medication distribution and inventory management within the hospital
• Utilize hospital technology systems such as EPIC and Omnicell for medication tracking
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies and safety standards
• Work collaboratively with the healthcare team in a fast-paced trauma center environment

Qualifications:

• Pharmacy Technician certification required
• Prior hospital inpatient experience preferred, especially exposure to IV medication preparation
• Familiarity with EPIC and Omnicell pharmacy systems is a plus
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a high-volume setting
• Flexibility to work varying shifts as needed
