Hospital Home Infusion Pharmacy Technician - Santa Ana, CA

A specialty infusion pharmacy in Orange County is seeking a skilled Pharmacy Technician to support their team on a contract basis. This role focuses on home infusion and hospital pharmacy settings, offering an excellent opportunity for candidates with experience in these areas. The position starts ASAP with an expected duration of 13 weeks and the potential to transition to a permanent role.

Schedule/Hours:

• Monday through Friday
• Day shifts

Responsibilities:

• Enter patient demographics and insurance details accurately; type prescription labels and process medication refills.
• Submit billing claims and authorization requests efficiently.
• Label and package injectable medications, ancillary supplies, and oral/topical medications as per patient orders.
• Prepare shipping documentation, coordinate shipments, and confirm deliveries with patients.
• Reconcile shipments against packing slips; receive and unpack medications carefully.
• Perform routine cleaning and disinfection of the IV room daily and monthly, adhering to USP <797> standards and company policies.
• Provide exceptional customer service through verbal, written, and in-person communication.
• Support 340B program integrity and assist with other duties to support pharmacy operations.

Qualifications/Desired Experience:

• Valid California Pharmacy Technician license.
• Minimum of 1 year experience in hospital, ambulatory care, or infusion settings.
• Hands-on experience with IV preparation and handling.
• Local candidates preferred to ensure prompt start and consistent availability.
