Pharmacy Technician - Schertz, Texas

This role offers the opportunity to work as a Sterile Compounding Pharmacy Technician on a 13-week contract assignment located in Schertz, TX. Candidates will engage in the preparation, compounding, and dispensing of medications while adhering to all applicable regulations and company standards.

Schedule:

• 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM or 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately compound, prepare, and process prescriptions following company policies and state regulations.
• Assist pharmacists in dispensing medications and supplies.
• Perform pharmaceutical calculations to confirm correct dosages.
• Properly label and package medications.
• Participate in incident management by identifying, documenting, and reporting medication-related issues.
• Maintain hygiene by cleaning and sanitizing pharmacy work areas and laminar flow hoods.
• Inspect equipment regularly and report malfunctions or defects.
• Maintain detailed records, including pharmacy temperature logs and cleaning documentation.
• Support general pharmacy organization and help ensure compliance with standards.

Desired Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum of one year of pharmacy technician experience.
• Active Pharmacy Technician license valid in Texas.
• Certification from the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB).
• Intravenous (IV) Compounding Certification.
