Mail Order Long Term Care Pharmacy Technician - Sterling Heights, MI
This opportunity is for experienced Pharmacy Technicians skilled in long-term care and mail order pharmacy environments. The position involves rotating day and evening shifts, supporting prescription fulfillment, IV preparation, and inventory management under the supervision of a Registered Pharmacist.
Location: Sterling Heights, MI
Job Type: Contract (7 weeks)
Shifts: Rotating days and evenings (8:00 AM 5:00 PM; 1:00 PM 9:00 PM)

Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately fill prescriptions and prepare intravenous medications following protocols and regulations.
- Collaborate with Billing Supervisor to input prescription data, ensuring proper reimbursement processing.
- Assist Pharmacists by prepackaging medications and supporting final prescription checks.
- Coordinate timely and precise medication delivery to customers.
- Support inventory management by receiving, rotating medications, recording lot numbers and expiration dates, and participating in physical counts.
- Help maintain a clean, safe workplace and verify equipment calibration and safety standards.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1 year pharmacy technician experience required.
- Prior experience in long-term care pharmacy settings preferred.
- Sterile compounding and IV preparation experience is a plus.
- Active Michigan Pharmacy Technician License mandatory.
