Inpatient Pharmacy Technician in Sun Prairie, WI

This opportunity is for a Pharmacy Technician in an inpatient hospital setting, working a day shift schedule with some weekend coverage in Richland Center, WI. The role involves supporting medication distribution and sterile compounding processes using automated technology.

Key Responsibilities:

• Restocking Pyxis medication cabinets and supplies
• Conducting outdate checks and replenishing medications and IVs
• Entering charges and processing incoming drug shipments
• Monitoring storage temperatures to maintain medication integrity
• Preparing sterile products, including chemotherapy agents, under strict cleanroom protocols
• Performing daily cleaning duties within the cleanroom environment
• Assisting with additional pharmacy tasks as assigned

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• 8 or 10-hour shifts based on operational needs
• Every 4th weekend from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM

Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid Wisconsin pharmacy technician license
• Previous inpatient hospital pharmacy experience
• Proficient in Pyxis automation system operations
• Skilled in sterile compounding and cleanroom procedures

This position offers a 13-week contract assignment ideal for technicians with a strong background in hospital pharmacy environments and sterile preparations. Experience with chemotherapy preparation and Pyxis automation is essential to excel in this role.
