A specialty/home infusion pharmacy in Syracuse, NY is seeking an experienced Pharmacy Technician to join their team. This is a great opportunity for a technician with sterile compounding experience looking for a full-time direct-hire position.

Responsibilities

Process prescriptions, enter orders, and maintain accurate documentation
Prepare and compound sterile medications under pharmacist supervision
Follow USP standards and proper aseptic techniques
Maintain clean room environments, equipment, and infusion devices
Perform and document quality assurance and quality control activities
Manage pharmacy inventory, including ordering, receiving, and stocking
Coordinate medication, supply, equipment refills, and deliveries
Maintain accurate patient and pharmacy records
Provide professional service to patients, caregivers, and healthcare providers
Assist with authorizations, reimbursement, reporting, and administrative processes
Support daily pharmacy workflow and operational efficiency

Requirements

Active New York Pharmacy Technician License
PTCB Certification or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire
Completion of sterile compounding training
Previous sterile compounding experience in a home infusion, hospital, or specialty pharmacy
Knowledge of pharmaceutical calculations, drug terminology, drug use, and aseptic technique
Knowledge of USP standards and practices
1+ year of pharmacy technician experience preferred
