Position Overview

RPh on the Go is seeking an experienced Pharmacy Technician for a direct-hire opportunity supporting a sterile compounding and home infusion pharmacy in Syracuse, NY. This is an excellent opportunity for a technician with sterile compounding experience who is looking for a consistent MondayFriday daytime schedule and a long-term career opportunity.

The technician will support pharmacists with prescription processing, sterile medication preparation, inventory management, quality assurance, and daily pharmacy operations while helping ensure patients receive their medications safely and on time.

Key Responsibilities

• Support pharmacists with daily pharmacy workflow and operations
• Process prescriptions, complete order entry, and maintain accurate documentation
• Prepare and compound sterile medications in accordance with USP standards and applicable regulations
• Maintain cleanroom environments, pharmacy equipment, and infusion devices
• Perform and document quality assurance and quality control activities
• Manage medication and supply inventory, including ordering, receiving, and stocking
• Coordinate patient medication and supply refills, deliveries, and related services
• Maintain accurate patient and pharmacy records within electronic systems
• Communicate professionally with patients, caregivers, healthcare providers, and internal teams
• Assist with pharmacy administrative and reimbursement processes

Qualifications

• Active New York Pharmacy Technician license required
• PTCB certification required or must be obtained within 6 months of hire
• Completion of sterile compounding training required
• Minimum 1 year of pharmacy technician experience preferred
• Previous sterile compounding experience in home infusion, hospital, or specialty pharmacy preferred
• Knowledge of pharmaceutical calculations, drug terminology, medication use, and aseptic technique
• Familiarity with USP standards and practices
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and commitment to patient safety
