Retail Pharmacy Technician in Vinton, VA

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday
• 8:30 am to 5:00 pm

Duration:

• 13 weeks, with an immediate start date

Key Responsibilities:

• Interpret sig codes, select appropriate products, and process prescription refills efficiently
• Perform accurate data entry, verify insurance coverage, and resolve claim rejections promptly
• Prepare, label, and package medications for pharmacist review and approval
• Maintain inventory levels, conduct cycle counts, and manage medication returns diligently
• Handle inbound and outbound communications with patients and prescribers professionally
• Ensure full compliance with HIPAA, Medicare/Medicaid regulations, and internal protocols

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required
• Minimum of 1-2 years experience as a Pharmacy Technician
• Active Virginia Pharmacy Technician license and PTCB certification
• Strong communication skills with the ability to multitask and manage time effectively
• Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving abilities
