Inpatient Pharmacy Technician in Waukesha, WI
A healthcare facility in Richland Center, WI is seeking a skilled Pharmacy Technician for a 13-week inpatient hospital assignment. This role involves supporting medication management and sterile compounding in a fast-paced environment using Pyxis automation. The position offers a structured Monday through Friday schedule with occasional weekend work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Restock Pyxis medication cabinets and check for outdated drugs
- Restock medications, IVs, and medical supplies efficiently
- Enter charges accurately for pharmacy billing
- Order, receive, and verify drug shipments
- Monitor storage temperatures to ensure medication safety
- Prepare sterile products, including chemotherapy agents, following strict protocols
- Perform daily cleanroom cleaning to maintain a sterile environment
- Support other assigned pharmacy duties as needed
Schedule:
- Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, shifts may be 8 or 10 hours
- Every 4th weekend, work from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM
Qualifications:
- Valid Wisconsin pharmacy technician license
- Proven inpatient pharmacy technician experience
- Demonstrated expertise with sterile compounding processes
- Skilled in using Pyxis automation system
