Pharmacy Technician | West Chester, Pennsylvania

This opportunity is for a Sterile Compounding Pharmacy Technician position located in Kennett Square, PA, with a specialty compounding pharmacy. The role offers a 13-week contract-to-hire assignment, ideal for candidates with a strong background in sterile compounding and a valid Pennsylvania Pharmacy Technician license.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure compliance with USP standards and internal guidelines in sterile and non-sterile compounding through continuous training and competency assessments.
• Accurately read and interpret prescriptions, entering orders into the pharmacy system.
• Prepare and compound medications as per established formulations under pharmacist supervision.
• Complete and maintain formula log sheets and proper documentation to support compliance.
• Measure, mix, package, and label compounded medications with precision.
• Manage inventory levels to maintain stock of necessary ingredients, equipment, and personal protective equipment.
• Assist in batch compounding, product labeling, and verify log entries.
• Ensure timely preparation and fulfillment of compounded prescriptions for shipping or patient pick-up.
• Maintain accurate records of all compounded products and document all performed work.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Minimum of 1 year of recent experience as a Pharmacy Technician.
• Proven experience in sterile compounding is required.
• Current Pennsylvania Pharmacy Technician license is mandatory.

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday, 7:00 am to 3:30 pm.
