Long Term Care Mail Order Pharmacy Technician in Wilkes Barre, PA

This opportunity is ideal for a skilled Pharmacy Technician with experience in Long Term Care and Mail Order pharmacy environments. The role operates under the direct supervision of a Registered Pharmacist and focuses on preparing and dispensing medications efficiently and accurately.

Responsibilities:

• Fill prescriptions and prepare IV admixtures with precision.
• Collaborate with Billing Supervisor to enter data for prescription fulfillment and reimbursement processing.
• Prepackage medications for dispensing following regulatory standards.
• Assist Pharmacists in the final review and packaging of filled prescriptions to ensure accuracy.
• Maintain inventory by receiving, rotating, and logging medications and supplies, including lot numbers and expiration dates.
• Support Pharmacy Management with physical inventory counts and best inventory practices.
• Help maintain a clean, safe workspace by checking equipment calibration and cleanliness in coordination with the Technician Supervisor.

Qualifications:

• Proven pharmacy technician experience.
• Experience in Long Term Care and Mail Order pharmacy settings is highly desirable.
• Valid Pennsylvania Pharmacy Technician License required.

Schedule:

• Days, Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM.
• Rotating weekends, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
• Duration: 12-week contract.
