Pharmacy Technician - Yonkers, New York

An opportunity is available for a Pharmacy Technician specializing in production within a closed-door Long-Term Care (LTC) facility. This direct hire role is located in Bardonia, New York, offering a stable, full-time day shift position with a Monday through Friday schedule from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, including rotating weekends.

Responsibilities include:

• Preparing medications using appropriate packaging methods such as blister packs and unit-dose for timely delivery to residents
• Assisting with medication ordering, receiving, stocking, and ensuring proper storage with vigilant monitoring of expiration dates
• Maintaining accurate patient and medication records in accordance with facility standards

The pharmacy operates with Frameworks software, and training will be provided to familiarize new hires with the system. The facility manages a medication volume of approximately 600 prescriptions per day, requiring an efficient and detail-oriented technician.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 1 year pharmacy technician experience
• NY State Pharmacy Technician License preferred but not required
• PTCB certification preferred but not mandatory

Compensation ranges from $18 per hour for non-certified technicians to $19-20 per hour for certified professionals.
