IV Sterile Compounding Pharmacist in Apex, NC

This position offers the opportunity to apply your expertise in sterile compounding within a dynamic home infusion pharmacy setting. The role focuses on clinical and operational support to ensure the effective management of home infusion therapies using the CPR+ computer system.

Location:

• Apex, NC

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday rotating shifts: 8:00 AM5:00 PM, 8:30 AM5:30 PM, or 9:00 AM6:00 PM
• Includes on-call availability, weekends, and evenings

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage home infusion therapies by providing clinical oversight and operational workflow support through CPR+
• Review referrals for drug appropriateness, dosing, routes, and lab monitoring
• Complete new patient starts, refills, medication reconciliation, and patient counseling
• Coordinate care with providers and nursing staff
• Accurately enter prescriptions, complete documentation, and adjudicate claims
• Prepare and verify sterile compounded medications, ensuring compliance with USP standards, proper labeling, and lot tracking
• Supervise pharmacy technicians and support production and delivery workflows
• Maintain inventory control and ensure timely, safe medication dispensing and delivery in a fast-paced environment

Qualifications:

• Experience in sterile compounding is required
• Home infusion experience is preferred
• Valid North Carolina pharmacy license

Contract Details:

• This position is a 17-week contract with potential for direct hire
