Per Diem Staff Pharmacist | Arden, North Carolina

A retail pharmacy is seeking a knowledgeable and reliable Staff Pharmacist to provide exceptional pharmaceutical care on a per diem basis. This role primarily involves coverage on Fridays from 8:30 AM to 6:00 PM, with the possibility of additional days and vacation coverage as needed. The pharmacy team consists of one pharmacist and two pharmacy technicians, offering a collaborative work environment.

Responsibilities include verifying prescriptions prepared by technicians, counseling patients on medications, answering phone inquiries, and ensuring the highest standards of safety and compliance. If certified, administering immunizations may also be required.

Qualifications:

• Valid North Carolina pharmacist license
• Minimum of one year retail pharmacy experience
• Immunization certification preferred but not mandatory
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Ability to accurately verify prescriptions and manage pharmacy workflow
