This contract-to-hire position offers a second-shift schedule from 3:30 PM to 12:00 AM, Monday through Friday, with rotating weekends. The role is based in Arlington, TX, providing a chance to join a dedicated team focused on patient-centered care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accept and accurately dispense prescription medications in compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Monitor patient medication adherence and identify over-usage or potential drug-related problems.
  • Ensure all medications dispensed are appropriate and legally compliant.
  • Maintain meticulous, confidential patient records and pharmacy files.
  • Advise patients on medication usage, possible side effects, and answer medication-related questions.
  • Provide patient consultation on prescription and over-the-counter medications, including proper storage, dosage, and interactions.
  • Support patient health through services such as smoking cessation programs, blood pressure monitoring, and cholesterol management.
  • Educate patients on proper medical device handling, including blood pressure monitors and glucose meters.
  • Compound medications and prepare sterile solutions adhering to established protocols.
  • Supervise pharmacy staff members including technicians and clerks.
  • Maintain adequate inventory levels of pharmaceutical and medical supplies.
  • Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, pharmacists, and interns to optimize patient care.

Qualifications:

  • PharmD degree with an active Texas Pharmacy license.
  • IV Certification is required.
  • Proven ability to multi-task and perform effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Expertise in both front-end and back-end pharmacist verification.
  • Proficient IT troubleshooting skills and self-motivated order processing capabilities.
