An immediate opening is available for a Sterile Compounding Pharmacist to support home infusion therapy services. This 13-week contract position operates Monday through Friday, from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, and requires a proactive pharmacist ready to start as soon as possible.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate patient eligibility for home infusion therapy and develop individualized medication therapy plans.
  • Monitor and adjust therapies using clinical assessments, lab results, and pharmacokinetic principles.
  • Prepare, verify, and dispense sterile medications in compliance with USP standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Educate patients, caregivers, and healthcare providers on proper medication use and infusion administration.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure continuity of care and monitor patient outcomes.
  • Manage infusion pumps, administer medications, and maintain quality assurance and safety standards.
  • Provide drug information, maintain accurate documentation, and support regulatory compliance initiatives.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or graduate of an accredited School of Pharmacy.
  • Active, unrestricted Pharmacist license for Texas.
  • At least one year of sterile IV compounding experience, or experience with non-sterile compounding, immunizations, and Medication Therapy Management (MTM).
  • Alternatively, completion of an ASHP-accredited Pharmacy Residency, an Advanced Pharmacy Practice Experience (APPE), or equivalent pharmacy experience.
  • Strong clinical understanding of home infusion pharmacy practices.
  • Ability to interpret laboratory data and apply pharmacokinetic principles.
  • Excellent communication and patient counseling skills.
