Mail Order Staff Pharmacist in Arvin, CA

An immediate full-time opportunity is available for a licensed Pharmacist in Bakersfield, CA. This role offers a consistent Monday through Friday schedule, 8:15 AM to 5:15 PM, with no weekend shiftsideal for retail pharmacists seeking stability and extended experience in a compounding pharmacy setting. The assignment runs through July 2026 on a contract basis.

Responsibilities:

• Perform final verification of prescriptions to ensure accuracy and safety
• Support prescription filling, labeling, and prepackaging processes
• Communicate effectively with healthcare providers for new orders, clarifications, and refills
• Counsel patients and respond to medication-related inquiries
• Assist with pharmacy workflow and daily operational tasks
• Ensure compliance with pharmacy standards, safety protocols, and regulatory guidelines
• For compounding pharmacists: oversee sterile and non-sterile compounding activities following USP 795, 797, and 800 as well as Board of Pharmacy regulations

Qualifications:

• Active California Pharmacist license in good standing
• PharmD or BS in Pharmacy degree
• Retail pharmacy experience strongly preferred
• Compounding pharmacy experience is a plus but not mandatory for retail-focused candidates open to learning
• Excellent attention to detail and communication abilities
• Capability to thrive in a fast-paced pharmacy environment
• Availability to work full-time Monday through Friday
