Mail Order Staff Pharmacist - Arvin, CA

A full-time, contract opportunity is available for a Compounding Pharmacist in Bakersfield, CA, running through July 2026 with potential for permanent placement. This role primarily involves overseeing sterile and non-sterile compounding within a pharmacy setting, ensuring adherence to regulatory standards, and providing expert support in medication preparation and patient counseling.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee sterile and non-sterile compounding processes
• Perform final verification of prescriptions to ensure accuracy
• Fill, label, and prepackage medications efficiently
• Communicate with healthcare providers regarding orders, clarifications, and refills
• Counsel patients and address medication-related questions
• Maintain compliance with USP 795, 797, 800 standards and Board of Pharmacy regulations

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday
• 8:15 AM to 5:15 PM
• Full-time through July 2026

Qualifications:

• PharmD or BS degree in Pharmacy
• Active California Pharmacist license required
• 3 to 5 years of pharmacy experience, compounding preferred
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Retail pharmacist candidates will be considered for temp roles focusing on dispensing duties only
