Per Diem Retail Staff Pharmacist - Ashland, OH

A Per Diem Pharmacist position is available in Ashland, OH, to provide essential vacation coverage. This role offers the opportunity to support an established retail pharmacy operation during key absence periods, including September 14th-18th and November 25th.

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM (Pharmacy open 9:00 AM to 4:30 PM)
• No lunch closure; pharmacist coverage is continuous during operating hours

Responsibilities include:

• Verifying and entering data for over 200 prescriptions daily using PioneerRx software
• Conducting thorough checks on more than 200 prescriptions each day to ensure accuracy and safety
• Managing phone inquiries professionally and efficiently
• Receiving and signing for controlled and narcotic drug deliveries
• Collaborating closely with three full-time pharmacy technicians to maintain smooth pharmacy workflow

Required Qualifications:

• Active and clear Ohio pharmacist license
• A minimum of 1 year recent retail pharmacy experience
• Strong proficiency in prescription processing and accuracy
• Familiarity with PioneerRx software or similar pharmacy management systems

This position focuses exclusively on retail pharmacy tasks; immunizations are not part of the pharmacists duties. The ideal candidate will demonstrate attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently without regular breaks for lunch.
