Per Diem Retail Staff Pharmacist in Ashland, OH

A well-established retail pharmacy in Ashland, OH is seeking a dependable Per Diem Pharmacist to provide vacation coverage and support daily operations. This role requires a focused professional skilled in retail pharmacy workflow and proficient with PioneerRx software.

Responsibilities:

• Verify and check over 200 prescriptions daily to ensure accuracy and safety
• Perform data entry of prescription information with great attention to detail
• Answer incoming phone calls and assist with customer inquiries
• Receive and sign for controlled and narcotic drug deliveries
• Collaborate with three full-time pharmacy technicians to maintain efficient pharmacy operations
• Maintain presence in the pharmacy from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday (pharmacy open 9:00 AM - 4:30 PM; no lunch closure)
• Support workflow during vacation periods with needed coverage (next coverage starting Nov 25)
• No immunization responsibilities associated with this position

Qualifications & Experience:

• Active and clear Ohio Pharmacist license
• Minimum of 1 year of recent retail pharmacy experience
• Familiarity and proficiency with PioneerRx software preferred
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Ability to manage high prescription volume accurately under fast-paced conditions
