Staff Pharmacist | Bad Axe, Michigan

This opportunity offers a full-time pharmacist position with a unique blend of retail and inpatient pharmacy responsibilities. Working four days a week from 7:30 am to 5:30 pm, youll enjoy one weekday off along with rotating weekends. The role is based in Harbor Beach, MI, with the retail and hospital inpatient pharmacy sites conveniently located just a block apart.

The position requires splitting your time approximately 70% in retail pharmacy and 30% in hospital inpatient pharmacy. You will work with Pioneer RX software for retail operations and CPSI in the hospital, transitioning to EPIC in November. Daily prescription volume averages 250, including servicing adult foster care homes and a local long-term care facility.

Key responsibilities include:

• Ensuring compliance with all policies, procedures, codes, and industry standards
• Reviewing all medication orders from authorized prescribers for accuracy, allergies, and drug interactions
• Preparing intravenous admixtures using established formulas and procedures
• Providing clear answers and information to healthcare staff and patients
• Collaborating effectively with the healthcare team while also working independently
• Maintaining strict confidentiality of patient and organizational information

Desired qualifications:

• Graduation from an ACPE-accredited College of Pharmacy
• Active pharmacist license in the State of Michigan
• Experience in hospital pharmacy preferred or a strong willingness to learn this area
