A 2nd shift inpatient pharmacist position is available in a hospital setting with 131 beds (60-70 active). This opportunity offers a 13-week contract with the potential for extension or a direct hire option. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 12:30 pm to 9:00 pm, with rotating weekend shifts. Multiple openings (3 to 4) are available.

Responsibilities include:

  • Providing comprehensive inpatient pharmaceutical care.
  • Accurate medication order entry using the Epic system.
  • Managing medication dispensing with Pyxis automation.
  • Collaborating with healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes.

Key qualifications:

  • Active Louisiana pharmacy license required.
  • Experience in inpatient hospital pharmacy practice.
  • Familiarity with Pyxis automation preferred; training available.
  • Experience with Epic electronic health records preferred; training provided.
