Hospital Inpatient Staff Pharmacist | Baker, Louisiana

A healthcare facility in Baker, LA, is seeking a dedicated pharmacist to join their inpatient hospital team. This role offers a rotating 1st and 2nd shift schedule, providing flexibility and variety in your workday. Operating within a 131-bed hospital with 60 to 70 active beds, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Dispense medications accurately and efficiently in an inpatient hospital setting.
• Utilize Epic for order entry and collaborate with medical staff to ensure proper medication management.
• Manage medication automation systems, including Pyxis, with training provided if needed.
• Work a rotating schedule of 7am to 3:30pm and 12:30pm to 9pm shifts, including weekends within Monday to Friday rotations.
• Maintain compliance with all pharmacy laws and regulations.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Valid Louisiana pharmacy license.
• Prior inpatient hospital pharmacy experience is essential.
• Experience with Pyxis automation and Epic order entry systems is preferred; training available for these systems.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.

Schedule:

• Rotating 1st shift (7am - 3:30pm) and 2nd shift (12:30pm - 9pm).
• Monday through Friday, including rotating weekends.
