Mail Order Staff Pharmacist | Bakersfield, California

A full-time Compounding Pharmacist position is available for a contract assignment in Bakersfield, CA, running through July 2026 with the possibility of permanent placement. This role primarily focuses on sterile and non-sterile compounding, ensuring high-quality medication preparation and patient safety.

Responsibilities include:

• Overseeing sterile and non-sterile compounding processes
• Performing final verification of prescriptions
• Filling, labeling, and prepackaging medications
• Communicating with healthcare providers regarding orders, clarifications, and refills
• Counseling patients and addressing medication-related questions
• Ensuring compliance with USP 795, 797, 800 standards and relevant Board of Pharmacy regulations

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday
• 8:15 AM to 5:15 PM

Qualifications and Experience:

• PharmD or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy
• Active California Pharmacist license
• 3 to 5 years of pharmacy experience, with compounding experience preferred
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Retail pharmacy experience will also be considered but will focus on dispensing duties
