A full-time pharmacist position is available in Bakersfield, CA, for a California-licensed professional seeking steady MondayFriday hours with no weekend shifts. Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform final verification of prescriptions ensuring safety and accuracy
  • Support prescription filling, labeling, and prepackaging processes
  • Communicate effectively with healthcare providers regarding orders, clarifications, and refills
  • Counsel patients on medication use and answer related inquiries
  • Assist with daily pharmacy workflow and operational support
  • Ensure compliance with pharmacy standards and regulations, including USP 795, 797, 800 guidelines
  • For compounding pharmacists, oversee sterile and non-sterile compounding procedures

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Active California Pharmacist license in good standing
  • PharmD or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy degree
  • Experience in retail pharmacy preferred; compounding experience is a plus but not mandatory for dispensing-focused candidates
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and communication skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced pharmacy setting
  • Available to work full-time Monday through Friday, 8:15 AM 5:15 PM
