IV Sterile Compounding Inpatient Staff Pharmacist in Bixby, OK

Provide expert pharmaceutical care in a dynamic home infusion setting, ensuring patient safety and effective medication management. This opportunity is a Contract to Hire position based in Bixby, OK, with a focused schedule of Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM, over a 13-week period.

Key Responsibilities:

• Accept and accurately dispense prescribed medications while monitoring patient compliance and usage patterns to maintain legal and safety standards.
• Validate the suitability of prescribed medications and maintain confidential patient records with precision and diligence.
• Offer professional consultations to patients regarding prescription and over-the-counter medications, including proper usage, potential side effects, and drug interactions.
• Deliver patient services such as smoking cessation support, blood pressure monitoring, cholesterol management, and education on medical device usage.
• Compound sterile and non-sterile medications according to established protocols, ensuring high-quality preparation of sterile solutions.
• Supervise pharmacy staff including technicians and clerks, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment.
• Manage inventory levels of pharmaceuticals and medical supplies, and collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, pharmacists, and interns.

Desired Qualifications:

• Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree.
• Active Oklahoma pharmacy license.
• Experience in home infusion or inpatient hospital pharmacy practice.
• Sterile compounding experience is strongly preferred.
