Hospital Staff Pharmacist in Bronx, NY
A healthcare facility in White Plains, NY, is seeking a Per Diem Registered Pharmacist for a direct-hire opportunity. This role offers approximately 24 hours per week on an alternate day shift schedule with varying daytime hours. Under the direction of pharmacy leadership, this position plays a key role in delivering safe, high-quality pharmaceutical care and collaborating closely with nurses, physicians, and other healthcare professionals.
Responsibilities include:
- Reviewing medication orders for accuracy, safety, interactions, and appropriateness in relation to patient profiles
- Delivering pharmaceutical services in accordance with hospital policies and professional standards
- Supporting age-specific medication education, patient safety protocols, and upholding patient rights
- Collaborating effectively with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes
- Adhering to infection control, risk management, and performance-improvement procedures
- Providing guidance and oversight to pharmacy assistants and transporters
- Demonstrating flexibility to adapt to changing assignments and staffing needs
- Practicing cost-containment measures without compromising care quality

Qualifications and desired experience:
- Bachelors degree in Pharmacy
- Active New York pharmacist license in good standing at the time of hire
- Knowledge of medication delivery systems and medical terminology
