Outpatient Staff Pharmacist | Bronx, New York
An experienced Pharmacist is needed for a full-time, 612 month contract role supporting outpatient and specialty pharmacy operations within a large healthcare system in Brooklyn, NY. This position focuses heavily on retail pharmacy functions, 340B program oversight, regulatory compliance, and accreditation standards.
Responsibilities include managing an outpatient pharmacy processing approximately 65,000 prescriptions annually, with about 80% of volume related to 340B business. The role requires collaboration with pharmacy leadership, compliance, and legal teams to ensure adherence to Medicare, Medicaid, ACHC, and URAC standards and to maintain smooth pharmacy operations. Utilization of PrimeRx pharmacy system supports daily workflows.
Key Qualifications and Experience:
- Active New York Pharmacist license
- Proven experience in retail/outpatient and specialty pharmacy settings
- In-depth knowledge of 340B program operations and compliance requirements
- Familiarity with Medicare and Medicaid regulations
- Experience with ACHC and/or URAC accreditation processes
- Strong background in regulatory compliance within retail or outpatient pharmacies
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams including leadership and compliance personnel
