Mail Order LTC Staff Pharmacist - Brookfield, Wisconsin
A second-shift pharmacist opportunity is available to support long-term care and mail order pharmacy operations. This contract-to-hire role offers an 8-week assignment with two openings and a schedule of Monday through Friday, 1:00 pm to 9:30 pm, including some Saturdays.

Key Responsibilities:
- Dispense prescription medications accurately and efficiently while ensuring compliance with legal requirements.
- Monitor patient medication adherence and identify potential overuse.
- Maintain confidential patient records and pharmacy documentation with accuracy.
- Advise patients on medication usage, possible side effects, and answer related questions.
- Provide consultations on both prescription and over-the-counter medications, including storage, dosage, and drug interactions.
- Deliver patient-centered services such as smoking cessation support, blood pressure and cholesterol management.
- Educate patients on using medical devices like blood pressure monitors and glucose meters.
- Compound medications and prepare sterile solutions following established protocols.
- Supervise pharmacy staff including technicians and clerks to ensure smooth operations.
- Manage inventory levels of pharmaceuticals and medical supplies.
- Identify drug-related issues and coordinate with healthcare providers to resolve them.
Qualifications:
- Licensed Pharmacist in Wisconsin.
- Pharmacy experience required; long-term care experience is highly desirable.
