An experienced Pharmacist is needed for a full-time, 6 to 12-month contract in Brooklyn, NY, supporting an outpatient pharmacy within a large healthcare system. This role focuses on retail operations, specialty pharmacy, 340B program management, regulatory compliance, and accreditation standards.

Location: Brooklyn, NY
Schedule: Full-time | 612 month contract
Setting: Outpatient / retail pharmacy environment
Volume: Approximately 65,000 prescriptions annually
Program Focus: Approximately 80% 340B business
Pharmacy System: PrimeRx

Responsibilities:

  • Manage day-to-day pharmacy operations in an outpatient and specialty pharmacy setting
  • Ensure compliance with 340B program regulations and maintain proper documentation
  • Support Medicare and Medicaid regulatory requirements and workflows
  • Collaborate with pharmacy leadership, compliance, and legal teams to uphold accreditation standards (ACHC and/or URAC)
  • Monitor and maintain regulatory compliance across pharmacy operations
  • Assist in preparing for and sustaining accreditation inspections
  • Communicate effectively with internal teams and external partners

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Active New York Pharmacist license required
  • Proven experience in retail/outpatient and specialty pharmacy practice
  • Strong expertise in 340B operations and regulatory compliance
  • Familiarity with Medicare and Medicaid processes
  • Experience with pharmacy accreditation bodies such as ACHC and/or URAC
  • Demonstrated skills working with compliance and legal departments
  • Highly organized with excellent verbal and written communication skills
