Outpatient Staff Pharmacist - Brooklyn, New York
An experienced Pharmacist is needed for a full-time, 612 month contract role in Brooklyn, NY, focused on outpatient and specialty pharmacy operations within a large healthcare system. This position involves managing retail operations, 340B program compliance, regulatory standards, and accreditation efforts in a busy outpatient pharmacy setting handling approximately 65,000 prescriptions annually.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage pharmacy operations in an outpatient/retail environment
- Oversee and ensure compliance with 340B program requirements
- Maintain adherence to Medicare and Medicaid regulations
- Support ACHC and/or URAC accreditation and compliance activities
- Collaborate closely with pharmacy leadership, compliance, and legal teams
- Uphold regulatory standards and quality assurance initiatives
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Active New York State Pharmacist license required
- Proven experience in retail/outpatient and specialty pharmacy settings
- Strong expertise in 340B operations and compliance
- Familiarity with Medicare and Medicaid policies
- Knowledge of ACHC and/or URAC accreditation processes
- Demonstrated experience working with regulatory and compliance protocols
- Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
