Staff Pharmacist | Brookston, Indiana

An urgent direct hire opportunity is available for an experienced Outpatient Pharmacist or Pharmacist in Charge to join a closely-knit team in a small facility. This position offers a Monday to Friday schedule from 9 AM to 6 PM, providing consistent weekday hours. The pharmacy processes between 300-500 prescriptions daily and is supported by 1-2 pharmacy technicians and a cashier, fostering collaborative teamwork.

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately enter, interpret, and review prescriptions
• Conduct drug utilization reviews and communicate with prescribers as needed
• Compound and dispense prescribed medications
• Supervise professional and support personnel to ensure smooth operations
• Ensure compliance with all relevant pharmacy laws and regulations
• Fill prescriptions for pharmaceutical preparations and devices
• Submit claims for third-party reimbursement promptly and accurately
• Provide consultation and answer pharmaceutical questions from physicians, nurses, patients, and staff
• Monitor the storage, distribution, and use of pharmaceuticals to maintain safety and efficacy
• Perform additional duties as assigned to support the pharmacy's overall function

Qualifications:

• Bachelors or advanced degree in pharmacy from an accredited institution
• Minimum of three years of relevant pharmacy experience
• Current, unrestricted pharmacist license in the state of Indiana
• Clean criminal record with no felonies
