Retail Staff Pharmacist | Carlisle, Kentucky

An established retail pharmacy in Mount Sterling, Kentucky is seeking a dynamic full-time Staff Pharmacist to contribute to a fast-paced, high-volume environment. Handling approximately 3,000 prescriptions weekly, this role offers an opportunity to work within a well-supported team, featuring 2 pharmacists and 5 to 6 technicians on weekdays, and 1 pharmacist with 3 to 4 technicians on Saturdays.

Responsibilities:

• Verify prescriptions with accuracy and attention to detail
• Provide thorough patient counseling and respond to medication-related inquiries
• Supervise pharmacy workflow and support technician activities
• Utilize PioneerRx software to efficiently process and manage prescriptions
• Ensure strict compliance with all applicable state and federal pharmacy laws and regulations
• Foster a supportive pharmacy environment delivering excellent customer service
• Assist with Saturday pharmacy coverage approximately 1 to 2 times per month

Qualifications:

• Active Kentucky Pharmacist license in good standing
• Recent experience in retail pharmacy preferred
• Familiarity with PioneerRx pharmacy system is a plus
• Proven ability to excel in a high-volume retail pharmacy setting
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with patients and team members
• Capable of working both independently and collaboratively within a team dynamic
• Flexibility to include working scheduled Saturdays

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with one weekday off
• Saturday coverage 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM, approximately 1 to 2 times monthly
