Retail Staff Pharmacist in Carlisle, KY

A retail pharmacy located in Mount Sterling, Kentucky, is seeking a skilled Staff Pharmacist to support their high-volume operations. This role offers the opportunity for either part-time or full-time work, with a focus on delivering excellent patient care and fostering efficient pharmacy workflow using the PioneerRx system. The position is contract to hire and supported by a dedicated team of pharmacy technicians, creating a collaborative and fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Verify prescriptions for accuracy and completeness.
• Provide thorough patient counseling and respond to medication-related inquiries.
• Oversee the pharmacy workflow and support pharmacy technicians.
• Utilize PioneerRx software to manage prescription processing.
• Ensure adherence to state and federal pharmacy regulations.
• Maintain daily operations within a busy retail setting averaging approximately 3,000 prescriptions per week.
• Deliver exceptional customer service to patients and team members.
• Assist with scheduled Saturday shifts as needed.

Desired Qualifications:

• Active Kentucky Pharmacist license in good standing.
• Recent retail pharmacy experience preferred.
• Familiarity with PioneerRx system is advantageous.
• Capability to thrive in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with the pharmacy team.
• Availability to work 1 to 2 Saturdays per month.

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday: 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM
• Saturday: 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM
• Flexible part-time or full-time schedules considered.

Additional Information:

• Pharmacy staff typically comprises 2 pharmacists and 5-6 technicians on weekdays, and 1 pharmacist with 3-4 technicians on Saturdays.
