Per Diem Home Infusion Staff Pharmacist | Cary, North Carolina

A Per Diem role is available for an experienced pharmacist specializing in home infusion pharmacy. This position offers Monday through Friday coverage from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM between July 29 and August 5, providing an opportunity to engage in sterile compounding and patient-centered pharmaceutical care within a home infusion environment.

Responsibilities include assisting in the verification of pharmaceutical products for sterile compounding, conducting final checks on compounded sterile preparations (CSP) regarding labels, fill amounts, and drug components, and ensuring accuracy of shipments sent to patients, including all medical supplies. The pharmacist will also communicate effectively with physicians' offices, field nurses, and patients to discuss drug regimens, manage inventory levels, monitor drug compliance, and address any adverse reactions or abnormal laboratory results. Managing inbound communications from healthcare providers and patients is an essential component of this role.

Key qualifications and desired experience include:

• Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy; Doctor of Pharmacy or Master of Science in Pharmacy is preferred
• Active pharmacist license in North Carolina
• A minimum of two years' recent experience in an acute-care setting or at least one year of recent experience in home infusion therapy
• Strong knowledge of intravenous admixture services and intravenous therapy
• Proficiency in CPR+ pharmacy software is required
