Pay Rate: $57/hour

Position Overview

RPh on the Go is seeking a Remote Pharmacist for a 13-week contract assignment with a leading pharmacy organization. This position is ideal for a pharmacist who enjoys patient interaction, clinical decision-making, and working in a fast-paced, high-volume pharmacy environment while enjoying the flexibility of working remotely.

The successful candidate will demonstrate strong clinical judgment, excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently. Pharmacists with experience in retail, mail order, specialty pharmacy, or other high-volume pharmacy settings are encouraged to apply. New graduates are also welcome to be considered.

Idaho Licensure Requirement

An active Idaho pharmacist license is REQUIRED for this position. Candidates who do not currently hold an Idaho license must be willing and eligible to obtain Idaho licensure prior to starting the assignment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide proactive patient counseling and medication education by phone, including guidance on new prescriptions, refills, medication adherence, side effects, and proper medication use.
• Collaborate with prescribers and physician offices to clarify prescriptions and resolve clinical issues that may impact timely dispensing.
• Review and clinically verify new and refill prescriptions for therapeutic appropriateness, drug interactions, contraindications, and dosing accuracy.
• Perform final pharmacist verification of prescriptions in a high-volume, closed-door fulfillment environment, ensuring accuracy of medication, dosage, quantity, and labeling prior to dispensing.
• Assist pharmacy management with receiving, processing, and transferring patient prescriptions.
• Manage prescription transfers from initiation through completion, ensuring accuracy and an efficient patient experience.
• Communicate professionally and effectively with patients, prescribers, and pharmacy team members.
• Maintain a strong commitment to patient safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.

Schedule Options

Candidates may be considered for one of the following 8-hour shifts:

• 8:00 AM 4:00 PM
• 9:00 AM 5:00 PM
• 10:00 AM 6:00 PM
• 11:00 AM 7:00 PM

Qualifications

• Active Idaho pharmacist license required OR willingness and eligibility to obtain an Idaho pharmacist license prior to starting.
• 06 years of pharmacist experience preferred.
• Retail, mail order, specialty pharmacy, or other high-volume pharmacy experience preferred.
• New graduates are welcome to apply.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal and patient service skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to medication safety.
• Ability to work independently and remain productive in a remote environment.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
