Staff Pharmacist - Cibolo, Texas

This opportunity is seeking a Sterile Compounding Pharmacist for a 13-week contract located in Cibolo, TX. The position offers a schedule from 12 PM to 8 PM and focuses on providing specialized home infusion therapy services with an emphasis on medication safety and patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Evaluate patients for home infusion therapy eligibility and develop individualized medication plans.
• Prepare, verify, and dispense sterile medications adhering to USP standards and regulatory requirements.
• Educate patients, caregivers, and healthcare providers on medication use and infusion administration.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure continuity of care and monitor patient outcomes.
• Manage infusion pumps and medication equipment while maintaining quality assurance.
• Provide accurate drug information, documentation, and support compliance with medication safety initiatives.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or graduate from an accredited School of Pharmacy.
• Active and unrestricted Pharmacist license in Texas.
• At least one of the following: Minimum 1 year of sterile IV compounding experience, Experience with non-sterile compounding, immunizations, and Medication Therapy Management (MTM), Completion of an ASHP-accredited Pharmacy Residency, Completion of an Advanced Pharmacy Practice Experience (APPE), Equivalent pharmacy experience.
• Strong clinical knowledge of home infusion pharmacy practices.
• Proficient in interpreting laboratory values and applying pharmacokinetic principles.
• Excellent communication, patient counseling, and customer service skills.
