Per Diem Staff Pharmacist | Cicero, Illinois

A per diem pharmacist role is available providing retail pharmacy coverage with flexible scheduling options. This position offers the opportunity to work consistently every Friday or every other Thursday and Friday, supporting pharmacy operations that focus on efficient service and home delivery.

Location:

• Cicero, IL
• Coverage training in Chicago, IL 60622

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• Closed on weekends
• Ongoing coverage for selected days (every Friday or every other Thursday and Friday)

Responsibilities:

• Dispense medications accurately and efficiently in a retail pharmacy setting
• Provide support for few face-to-face patients, ensuring thorough patient counseling
• Manage orders and coordinate UPS home delivery service to support patient needs
• Maintain compliance with pharmacy policies and state regulations
• Collaborate closely with pharmacy team members to ensure smooth daily operations

Qualifications:

• Must hold a valid Illinois Pharmacist License
• Experience as a Staff Pharmacist or RX Pharmacist in a retail environment preferred
• Strong communication and customer service skills, even in limited face-to-face interactions
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively during per diem shifts
