Per Diem Staff Pharmacist | Clearwater, Florida

A retail pharmacy opportunity is available for a Pharmacist with a commitment to providing exceptional patient care and operational support. This per diem role is based in Safety Harbor, FL, with ongoing coverage responsibilities including the first Friday of every month and additional dates as detailed below.

Schedule/Hours:

• First Friday of every month from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM, ongoing long-term coverage
• June 5 (8:30 AM 12:00 PM, includes 30-minute training)
• June 30 (10:00 AM 2:00 PM)
• July 1 (8:30 AM 12:00 PM)
• July 7 (10:00 AM 2:00 PM)
• July 8 (10:00 AM 2:00 PM)
• Occasional Saturdays from 9:00 AM 12:00 PM may be required

Responsibilities:

• Verify prescriptions accurately and efficiently to ensure patient safety
• Provide thorough patient counseling to promote proper medication usage
• Supervise pharmacy technicians to maintain smooth pharmacy operations
• Manage prescription volume averaging 4050 scripts daily, with up to 100 on busy days
• Serve confidently as the sole pharmacist on shift

Qualifications and Experience:

• Active Florida Pharmacist license required
• Open to newly licensed graduates ready to take on independent responsibilities
• Ability to work independently as the only pharmacist on duty
• Experience with Pioneer Rx preferred, offering familiarity with pharmacy software
• Knowledge of nonsterile compounding is a plus, though compounding duties are not required
