Staff Pharmacist | Cordova, Tennessee
Located in Cordova, TN, this Contract to Hire opportunity is for a Staff Pharmacist with specialized expertise in clinical patient management for conditions such as hemophilia, immune deficiencies, autoimmune disorders, and other diseases requiring infused medications. This role involves managing a very low volume of prescriptions, allowing for focused, patient-centered care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive pharmaceutical care tailored to patients receiving factor replacement therapies, emicizumab, and a variety of subcutaneous and intravenous infusions.
- Educate patients and their families on medication administration, side effect monitoring, adherence strategies, and safe handling of infused drugs at home.
- Collaborate closely with healthcare providers including physicians, nurses, and care coordinators to ensure coordinated, high-quality care.
- Work alongside reimbursement specialists to navigate insurance processes, secure prior authorizations, and access patient financial assistance programs.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Current Pharmacist license in Tennessee is required.
- Arkansas pharmacist license is highly preferred.
- Experience with CareTend software is highly valued; willingness to train available.
- Openness to obtaining additional state licenses as needed.
Schedule:
- Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
