Long Term Care Mail Order Staff Pharmacist - Dallas, TX
This opportunity is seeking an experienced pharmacist to work a 2nd shift (3:30 pm 12:00 am), Monday through Friday with rotating weekends. This contract-to-hire position offers an 8-week assignment in a long-term care (LTC) mail order pharmacy environment, with the potential for direct hire.

Key Responsibilities
- Accurately accept, verify, and dispense prescription medications in compliance with legal regulations
- Monitor patient medication compliance and identify overuse or improper usage
- Maintain confidential patient records and pharmacy documentation with precision
- Counsel patients on medication usage, side effects, drug interactions, and proper handling of medical devices
- Provide additional patient services such as smoking cessation support, blood pressure monitoring, and cholesterol management
- Compound medications and prepare sterile solutions following established protocols
- Supervise pharmacy staff including technicians and clerks, ensuring efficient workflow
- Maintain inventory of pharmaceutical and medical supplies while managing drug-related problems in coordination with healthcare providers
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, pharmacists, and interns for optimal patient care
Required Qualifications
- Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree
- Valid Texas Pharmacy License
- IV Certification
- Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Experience in both front-end and back-end pharmacist verification processes
- Strong IT troubleshooting skills
- Self-directed approach to locating and processing orders
