Per Diem Hospital Staff Pharmacist in Dalzell, SC

Provide critical pharmaceutical care as an inpatient hospital pharmacist in a behavioral health setting. This per diem role requires coverage from September 26th through October 15th, with a mandatory training week beginning September 21st. The position offers a blend of in-person shifts and on-call responsibilities, including remote weekend on-call work for order verification and consultation.

Schedule and Coverage Details:

• Training week: September 21st (date flexible for training)
• Sept 26-27: On-call coverage
• Sept 28 Oct 2: 8 am to 4 pm shifts, plus on-call after each shift
• Oct 3-4: On-call coverage
• Oct 5-9: 8 am to 4 pm shifts, plus on-call after each shift
• Oct 10-11: On-call coverage
• Oct 12-15: 8 am to 4 pm shifts, plus on-call after each shift
• Weekend coverage: Remote on-call availability including verifying orders and answering queries as needed

Key Responsibilities:

• Verify medication orders accurately and efficiently
• Manage refilling of Omnicell medication stations
• Place medication orders with Cardinal Health system
• Provide remote consultation and order verification during weekend on-call periods

Qualifications:

• Minimum 1 year of inpatient hospital pharmacy experience
• Active and clear South Carolina pharmacy license
• Experience with inpatient behavioral health settings preferred but not required
• Familiarity with or willingness to learn Wellsky order entry system (training provided)
• Ability to manage tasks independently as sole pharmacy staff on site
