Inpatient Hospital Staff Pharmacist in Denham Springs, LA

This opportunity is seeking a skilled pharmacist to support inpatient hospital operations on the second shift. The role involves working with a census of 60 to 70 active beds within a 131-bed facility, ensuring high-quality pharmaceutical care in an inpatient environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately verify and dispense medications for hospitalized patients
• Utilize Epic for order entry management and patient records
• Operate Pyxis automation systems (training provided if needed)
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to optimize medication therapy
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards

Required Qualifications:

• Licensed pharmacist in Louisiana
• Experience in an inpatient hospital setting
• Familiarity with Pyxis and Epic systems is preferred but not mandatory; training available
• Strong attention to detail and clinical judgment

Schedule:

• Second shift: Monday through Friday, 12:30 PM to 9:00 PM
• Rotating weekends
• Initial assignment is 13 weeks, with possibility for extension or transition to direct hire
• Multiple openings available (3 to 4 positions)
