A contract opportunity is available for two experienced pharmacists to support pharmacy operations within a warehouse setting. This role offers a 13-week assignment with weekday hours, Monday through Friday from 10:30 AM to 7:00 PM. The position requires a valid Illinois pharmacist license and familiarity with intravenous (IV) medications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the receipt, storage, and distribution of medications, including refrigerated and specialty products.
  • Manage inventory levels, order medications and supplies, and minimize waste or expired items.
  • Ensure proper storage conditions in compliance with USP standards and state/federal regulations.
  • Verify medication orders prior to preparation and shipment.
  • Supervise pharmacy technicians engaged in inventory control, picking, packing, and shipping activities.
  • Coordinate with sterile compounding pharmacists and technicians to maintain availability of medications and supplies.
  • Review controlled substance inventory and maintain accurate documentation.
  • Conduct cycle counts, inventory reconciliation, and quality assurance audits.
  • Collaborate with purchasing, nursing, and operations teams to facilitate timely medication delivery.
  • Utilize pharmacy software and inventory management systems to track medication and supply status.

Qualifications:

  • Active and clear Illinois pharmacist license.
  • Some knowledge and experience with IV medications.
  • Strong organizational and supervisory skills.
  • Familiarity with USP standards and pharmacy regulatory requirements.
  • Proficiency with pharmacy software and inventory systems.
