Per Diem Staff Pharmacist | Des Plaines, Illinois

This opportunity is ideal for a licensed pharmacist seeking per diem retail pharmacy experience with a flexible schedule. The position supports ongoing coverage on busy days, offering work every Friday or every other Thursday and Friday.

Location:

• Primarily based in the Des Plaines, IL area with training sessions held in Chicago, IL 60622

Schedule/Hours:

• Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• Closed on weekends
• Coverage on Fridays or every other Thursday/Friday

Responsibilities:

• Provide professional pharmacy services in a retail setting supporting open-door pharmacy operations
• Manage and dispense prescriptions accurately with minimal face-to-face patient interaction
• Support UPS-free home delivery service ensuring timely and accurate medication distribution
• Collaborate with pharmacy team to maintain regulatory compliance and quality assurance

Qualifications:

• Current Illinois Pharmacist License required
• Experience in retail pharmacy preferred
• Ability to work independently with attention to detail and a commitment to patient safety
• Strong communication skills and professionalism in all interactions
