Retail Staff Pharmacist - Dinosaur, CO

An opportunity is available for a Pharmacist to serve as the Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) in a dynamic outpatient retail pharmacy setting. This contract-to-hire position offers a 13-week assignment with the potential for permanent placement. Operating Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM with a one-hour lunch break, you will manage daily operations in an environment supported by four full-time pharmacy technicians.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee pharmacy operations as the PIC, ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards.
• Dispense and verify prescriptions accurately, handling an average daily volume of 200 scripts on Mondays and 125 from Tuesday through Friday.
• Lead and collaborate with a pharmacy staff that includes seven employees, acting as the sole pharmacist on-site.
• Utilize the Liberty order entry system to manage prescriptions efficiently.
• Provide exceptional patient care and counseling consistent with retail pharmacy practices.

Qualifications / Desired Experience:

• Current Colorado Pharmacist license is mandatory.
• Prior retail pharmacy experience required.
• Pharmacy management experience is a strong plus; however, skilled staff pharmacists will also be considered for the PIC role.
• Ability to work independently and take initiative in a fast-paced setting.
